Collection: Centek Industries Inc.

Centek Marine's history began in 1962 in Boca Raton, Florida, with the fabrication of fiberglass marine mufflers. Initially named Vernay, the company pioneered the Vernatone, a product that solidified its reputation in the maritime sector.

Vernay quickly expanded its product line to include exhaust mufflers for OEMs and distributors serving the marine aftermarket. In 1967, the company introduced Vernatube, a "wet" exhaust tubing that complemented its existing offerings.

The 1970s saw the introduction of filament winding technology for Vernatube production, a technique still used today. This innovation, combined with the expanding product line, led to increased global interest.

In 1975, Vernay debuted the Vernalift muffler, designed for generators and small sailboat engines. This innovative product further solidified the company's reputation.

To accommodate growth, Centek moved operations to a new 60,000 square foot plant in Thomasville, GA in the late 1980s. In 1994, Vernay Products became known as Centek Industries, Inc.

For over 60 years, Centek has been a leading producer of fiberglass exhaust systems worldwide. Under the leadership of CEO Bill Hodges, Centek has expanded its product line to include ventilation systems and metal riser fabrication through strategic acquisitions.

Today, Centek is the premier supplier of custom marine exhaust and ventilation solutions for boat builders, refitters, and naval architects globally.

Built upon a 60+ year history, the name Centek has become synonymous with quality for naval architects, refitters, and boat builders across the globe.

Our experienced engineering team designs, on average, one new product every single day. Today, the exhaust and ventilation system product catalogs contains over 30,000 parts; each design began as a custom engineered part, and this continues to be our specialty.

If you do not see what you need in our catalog, our experienced team can engineer a custom system to meet your needs. While the parts are different, our engineers typically follow a similar process, which has been refined over the past 60 years, as depicted below.
